How To: A Great Manicure

In honor of my BzzCampaign for Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream (that I got for free!), I'm going to do a short post on how to give yourself a great manicure. Way cheaper than having it done at a salon. 1) Take off all existing polish. Watch out for any remaining clear polish. 2) Trim and file your nails. You'll need clippers and a nail file. 3) Soak your hands in warm water for five minutes. This gets your cuticles soft. 4) Push back your cuticles - to be honest, I don't do this all the time, but you can if you want to! 5) Moisturize your hands - use your Norwegian Formula Hand Cream! 6) Apply the base coat - 1 coat. 7) Wait for that to dry, and do two coats of your favorite polish. I love all of the gray colors from Essie and ELF right now. 8) Wait for the 2 coats to dry fully, then do one top coat. Make sure to get the edges and all around the top of the nail. 9) If you don't want to wait for your nails to dry, submerge them in ice cold water for 5 minutes. This dries the polish extra quickly. 10) When dry, take a cotton swab with a dab of olive oil and brush it on your nails. It will keep the polish from getting those weird little lines and dings while you sleep. Good luck!!
