Needless to say, I haven't posted in awhile. It's been about two months since I posted, and it has been a hectic time.
I've spent the last few weeks trying to find out why I have been feeling horrible - exhausted, light-headed, heart palpitations, shaky - and after my favorite thing, a blood test, it turns out that I have a really fast metabolism coupled with hypoglycemia. Basically, I have low blood sugar. The good thing is, it seems to be pretty easy to treat with some tweaks in my diet. Apparently my love for cool ranch Doritos is going to have to take a back seat to whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and fresh fruit. I found a meal plan online and started adhering to it about three days ago, so I'm hoping the longer I stick to it, the better I'll feel. I'll be going back for blood work in August to see if my levels changed at all. It feels great to finally know what is going on.
Moving into June, every weekend is already filled up. Josh and I are heading up to the Wakefield Inn in New Hampshire next weekend for Josh's birthday weekend. Then we have a wedding, Josh has a bachelor party and there's Fathers Day, and then I have a wedding shower up in CT. Then, it'll be July already which means the Gaskell/Ritter/Cohen Cape week! Then, in August another wedding. After that, September 12 marks our one year wedding anniversary! I can't believe a year has gone by already.
Work has been going well. I was given a few new projects to tackle so it has been pretty busy, and I hope that I can do a good job with all of these projects, but I have to say that I am a lot more comfortable with work than I was a year ago. I think I'm finally settling in and I finally feel like I can do it.
Right now our main goal is getting a new car. Josh has a Toyota Corolla that is a lease, which is due back by the end of June. We originally planned on getting a Hyundai Tuscon, but after going over the numbers it just doesn't make sense right now, so we're going with another Hyundai Elantra. The 2011 Hyundai Elantra is much nicer than the one I have now - it almost looks like a sports car. The gas mileage is great and I've never had a problem with mine so we think this is the best choice for now.
Now lets see how many times I post in the next two months!
